Seth D. Harris is the 11th United States Deputy Secretary of Labor and acting Secretary of Labor. Prior to joining the Department, Mr. Harris served as a Professor of Law at New York Law School and Director of its Labor & Employment Law Programs. While teaching at the New York Law School, Mr. Harris was also a Senior Fellow at the Life Without Limits Project of the United Cerebral Palsy Association and a member of the National Advisory Commission on Workplace Flexibility.


Prior to his work at the New York Law School, Mr. Harris served for seven years at the Department of Labor during the Clinton Administration, spanning the tenures of Secretaries Robert Reich and Alexis Herman.

Angelino Garzón is the ninth and current Vice President of Colombia, serving under President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón. He was the 69th Governor of Valle del Cauca from 2004 to 2008, and served as the second Minister of Labour and Social Protection under the administration of President Andrés Pastrana Arango. He was Permanent Representative of Colombia to the United Nations in Geneva from 29 January 2009 until his resignation on March 2010, in preparation for his election to the Vice Presidency.

Arne Duncan is the ninth U.S. secretary of education. He has served in this post since his confirmation by the U.S. Senate on Jan. 20, 2009, following his nomination by President Barack Obama.


Duncan's tenure as secretary has been marked by a number of significant accomplishments on behalf of American students and teachers. He helped to secure congressional support for President Obama's investments in education, including the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act's $100 billion to fund 325,000 teaching jobs, increases in Pell grants, reform efforts such as Race to the Top and Investing in Innovation, and interventions in low-performing schools.

Reta Jo Lewis was appointed the Secretary’s Special Representative for Global Intergovernmental Affairs in January 2010. Her office is responsible for serving the global needs of U.S. intergovernmental officials and the entities they represent. She also promotes effective local governance and local capacity building efforts and serves as a point of entry for the global needs of U.S. state and local officials. She reports directly to the Secretary of State.

She leads the office that is charged with building strategic peer-to-peer relationships between the U.S. Department of State, U.S. state and local officials and their foreign counterparts around the world.

Kevin Johnson was elected as the 55th mayor of the City of Sacramento in November 2008 and re-elected to a second term in June 2012. He is the first native Sacramentan, and the first African American to be elected to the office. His vision is for Sacramento to become “a city that works for everyone.” Since taking office, Mayor Johnson has embarked on an ambitious plan to reshape how city government serves the citizens of Sacramento. His top priorities include improving public safety, creating jobs and economic development, reforming public education, promoting good government. and enhancing the quality of life for all Sacramentans.

U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan appointed David J. Johns as executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans.  As executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans, Johns works to identify evidence-based best practices to improve African American student achievement—from cradle to career. The initiative works across federal agencies and with partners and communities nationwide to produce a more effective continuum of education programs for African American students.

Ed DeVeaux is Vice President of External Affairs where he focuses on directing United Water's  public policy strategy, managing the company's political activity and coordinating participation in trade associations and public policy groups. Ed rejoined United Water a year ago as Vice President, Business Development in charge of Large Projects. In that position, he focused on negotiating and closing large sustainable contracts with municipalities throughout the United States

Troy D. Farley is the Corporate Manager of Human Resources Compliance and Equal Employment Opportunity at John Deere.  He has been with John Deere for 33 years. As the Corporate Manager HR Compliance and Equal Employment Opportunity, Mr. Farley is responsible for managing all HR compliance cases globally that originate in compliance hotline process. As Corporate Manager of Equal Employment Opportunity he is also responsible for 35 facilities across the United States relative to all EEO and Affirmative Action related issues and compliance requirements.  He also has responsibility for Employment Equity internationally.

Pete is the Regional Director of External Affairs representing AT&T for the following counties:  Carrollton, Clayton, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, South Fulton, Heard, and Henry County. Pete has been an employee with AT&T for more than 11 years. He started his career with Bellsouth as an E-Business Sales Specialist promoting advance Internet services and products. Prior to coming to AT&T, Pete was a Technical Consultant for ITC Deltacom. Pete is a native of Atlanta where he received his degree in Business and Information Analysis from Morehouse College.
